A Thread is a Path, A Knot is an Encounter is a performance installation-based work that weaves together fabric remnants from the Brazilian garment industry into a growing macramé net. Drawing on personal and collective histories of migration and queerness, the work treats the act of knotting as both a material and relational practice. Each thread carries memory; each knot marks a moment of encounter, care, or transformation. The piece unfolds as a space of connection and becoming, where waste is revalued, and alternative ways of relating to land, bodies, and one another are imagined.
