MISTRANSLATIONS: Where Were You At Night

MISTRANSLATIONS: Where Were You At Night *

“The night was an exceptional possibility

In the middle of a hot summer night

A rooster screams at the wrong time

And only once to announce the beginning of the walk up the mountain

Little by little, they could see the she/he

And he/she appeared to them with a quality that emanated from him/her…

Was she/he a lighthouse?”

“MISTRANSLATIONS: Where Were You At Night” is a Performance that visually and linguistically (mis-)translates Clarice Lispector’s story of the same title.

Presented at “First Drafts” organised by Projekt Europa at New Diorama Theatre, London, UK
